The past few years, we have witnessed an ever-increasing interest in our waters; from energy companies looking to meet local and/or international demand, to increased marine traffic, to environmental groups identifying areas of ecological/biological importance in need of protection. To ensure that fishermen in LFA 34 are kept abreast of the issues facing our lobster fishery, Coldwater Lobster Association has formed several sub-committees to dedicate their time to attend meetings/conferences on these matters.

Coldwater Lobster Association’s sub-committees will ensure that the voices of ‘industry’ are heard and considered before any major decisions are made that may adversely impact our fishery.
